Tom Yam Goong |
Ingredients:
- 4 slices of galangal
- 65 grams of straw mushrooms
- Ground root from one stalk of coriander
- ½ tablespoon of chili paste
- 1 red shallot, cut into wedges
- 1 lemongrass stalk, cut into short lengths
- ¼ tablespoon of salt - ½ tablespoon of sugar
- 1 tomato, cut into wedges
- 1 tablespoon of fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons of lime juice
- 2 chilies, cut in half
- 4 kaffir lime leaves
- 4 river prawns
- 400 millilitres of chicken stock
Directions cooking Tom Yam Goong:
- Heat up the chicken stock in a saucepan.
- Add the galangal, shallots, coriander roots, and lemongrass, simmer for three minutes.
- Add the tomato pieces and straw mushrooms , and simmer for another three minutes.
- eason with the fish sauce, salt, sugar and chili paste.
- Add the prawns and boil until they are cooked.
- Add the kaffir lime leaves and chilies.
- Season with the lime juice and serve immediately.
